Supply SA is a regional initiative dedicated to increasing access to public procurement opportunities for small, local and Veteran businesses across the San Antonio region. We work with businesses, public agencies, and regional partners to simplify access certification, strengthen procurement readiness, and expand participation in government contracting.

Why Supply SA Exists

Public procurement systems across local governments are often fragmented and difficult for small businesses to navigate. Complex requirements, inconsistent processes, and long timelines can prevent qualified vendors from accessing opportunities. 

Supply SA was created to help address these challenges by improving access, strengthening vendor readiness, and aligning regional procurement systems to better support local businesses

Access

We work with agencies to make procurement systems easier for businesses to navigate.


This includes improving vendor portal accessibility, recognizing multiple certifications across agencies, and simplifying how businesses find and pursue contracting opportunities.

Capacity Building

We provide technical assistance and educational support to help small businesses prepare for government contracting.

Through procurement navigators, training programs, and vendor readiness resources, we help businesses build the knowledge and tools needed to compete successfully.

Process Improvement

We collaborate with agencies to strengthen procurement practices that support local business participation.

This includes encouraging contract de-bundling, improving forecasting of upcoming opportunities, and helping agencies adopt practices that expand participation while maintaining compliance.
